I have been trying to download iTunes for mac, for a reinstall, since late yesterday. None of the links I have found work. Either they don't exist, or they are being redirected by Apple's site to the apple.com/startpage. Any way to let Apple know their links are not working and that iTunes is unavailable for download?

What about the WWDC 2009 videos? They aren't up for sale anymore and they don't appear to be part of the free offerings for registered developers. Can anyone confirm whether or not the 2009 videos were added with the 2010 videos?

TRIM enabler is a hack, and some people have reported that their read/write speeds have dropped significantly after installing it on their macs. I'm worried that it even does the job, but I am guessing it just changes the kernel so that instead of saying 'No' it says 'Yes' under TRIM support in SERIAL-ATA.
It's not just changing the No to a Yes. You can confirm TRIM is working by using hfsdebug and dd, with and without the patch. The beachballs people get could be due to an over aggressive use of TRIM by the current kext's, guess we'll find out sooner or later.

Really? Quicktime is pretty amazing for professional filmmaking. The Quicktime X player sucks though.

Drupal for me as well. We've created prototype web sites with all the bells and whistles (points, badges, rules, social media, forums, inbox, etc.) in next to no time. We were also able to create custom modules that tied into very regimented systems.
I haven't had a chance to look at 7 yet.

....It would be best to wait until this Summer for the next OS upgrade to come out (10.7 aka Lion) otherwise you'll be looking at an OS upgrade cost to you in the future.

OK your page has forms. I know how to make forms, I just don't know how to send the results to a database that can be used to send to later. I am just creating this website for a client. I do not want to have to be involved every time they want to send something from a MailChimp account. I am pretty sure they are not going to want to use a MailChimp account themselves. I don't think they would know how. They just want to be able to go to their email and send an email update to people.....and what if it is over 2000 people?

Yeah, i'm getting quite anxious about this PM update. I'm still wondering about ATI's involvement in this possible delay. Saying they're going to release the Radeon 9800 Pro Mac SE by the end of January but it's still nowhere in sight. tisk, tisk, don't be such a tease.

So my school's robotics team was rummaging through a closet of stuff that was to be thrown out, and we found an Apple IIe.
I have a couple questions:
The operating system is in the ROM, right? No need for a floppy OS or something?
Does the computer need a mouse? In my reading, it seems like it doesn't.
It only had two cards inside: the 5.25 floppy card and what I think was the RAM. Does it need anything else to operate (i.e. a video card)?
Lastly, are there any things I didn't think of that I should know??
Any sweet games for it on eBay?

The Operating System comes on 5.25" floppy disks. The Apple IIe usually ran DOS 3.3 or ProDos as the Operating System. Disk images for these Operating Systems can be found at various places on the net, but you'll need a physical 5.25" floppy to boot from in order to read/write to floppy drives. As a general rule, many users formatted their Apple II floppies to include a copy of DOS or ProDos on each floppy. This was done as a convenience to keep from having to look around for a Master DOS disk every time you rebooted ("Now *where* did I put that damn floppy!??").
If you boot the Apple IIe without a floppy, you will get a Basic prompt, and can access the low-level monitor routines if you know how. But you will not be able to do too much with the machine unless you boot DOS or ProDOS.
The Apple II does not need a mouse.

i think you guys are overestimating how bad the lines will be. For the iPhone 4 launch, i got there at about 5 with the store opening at 8. I was within the first 200 or so as well. I highly doubt the iPad line will be as long as that of the iPhone, but I guess we'll see.
