I just read about someone in San Fernando who killed his family and himself because he didn't have a job.
Please reach out to your friends in times of difficulty....the world is not going to end if you don't have a job OR if you there are delays in getting your GC..the world is a wonderful place and still full of opportunity - to add value, to help others etc...you may need to reach out to your friends for help to find your calling or the next opportunity....please don't be desperate....and please ask for help. we all have so many things to be happy and thankful for...

Can you please update on what your lawyer advised to do? I had a misdemeanor (non traffic) charge in 01, that was dismissed as Nolle Prosequi (lack of evidence). I totally forgot about the incident and filed for 485 (self mailed on 6/30) Jul 2nd with out choosing YES. I got the disposition charges from the county court today and I need to update my case before I have further issues. I was NOT finger printed. NO Fines, NO community service, NO Probation and a normal criminal history record check at the county shows NONE. I never had issues with H1B stamping and traveling in and out of US. My labor is not substituted. My 140 is already approved
Can you please send me a PM with what forms your law firm is filing with USCIS? Are they planning to file a motion to reconsider by any chance? (or) Are you just filling another 485 form as an amendment? I don't have my receipts yet. If you can share your law firm info as well in a PM, it would be great.

How to send USCIS the document with out RFE? I heard that documentation sent without RFE's do not get the proper treatment. I am not saying that I will not send one in my case, but I would like to know the correct way to send documentation so that I can send the disposition as soon as I get receipts. I am also looking for an attorney and will not be doing this myself. I am just getting info as much as I can here. I am also filing for expungement as soon as I talk with an Immi attorney.

Yes, until her I-485 application is approved she can apply for the EAD as well as the AP. Provided you have received the permanent residency card, you do not have to do anything. AC21 filing is irrelevant in your case.

I am not able to get my passport renewed. Indian consulate in Houston said that it will take atleast 4 weeks to get a passport.
Pl help. Can I go ahead and apply for my 485?

It is absolutely fine to write to editors etc. but if you are planning a sustained campaign, it is best to coordinate with the media team lead by Sunil. It is always good to convey the same message from all our outlets.
Also, I urge everyone writing and calling media to keep it civil, DO NOT DENIGRATE other groups, just focus on our issues, and stay polite.

....My permanent employment is in Massachusetts...so from what I read( from I-140 and 485 instructions) my permanent employment which is Massachusetts...does not correspond to the Nebraska Service Center...it corresponds to the Texas Service Center. I've noticed this only after my lawyer sent my package to NEBRASKA.

1. I would like to believe that all visa numbers include the dependents etc .. since USCIS has the numbers.
2. At the same time .. maybe 245i is kicking in .. else the priority dates would be different
The only thing I'm not clear about is this:
Is 245i only affecting eb3 and not eb2?
And also from the answers it looks like, inspite of uscis making the numbers public .. it doesn't help us make a prediction

My wife need to travel to india urgently. Our visa/I94 expired in Oct. We already applied 485 and is pending.
1) Will there be any issue at airpot as I94 is expired.A xerox copy of 485 receipt is sufficient.
2) Does she need to travel any path in this case( I heard thru London is issue if visa is expired.France/Amsterdam Etcc..)
