Stamps are fun. :beam:
EDiT: Bugger, it won't show! I've tried reattaching it etc. but I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

I need your help to come to a conclusion on my issue.
1) I am on L1-b now in USA and working on company A
2) company B filed me and H1B as consulate process(means i have to get
stamped to start working for them)
Recently company B filed me labor+ I-140 mentioning as future employment and they are planning to file I 485 also now(since we have current dates)
Now I am planning to quit company A for who i am working on L1 and want to go for stamping to join company B who will be filing 485 for me. I have plans to travel to canada for stamping on August last week (after 485 filing).
Do we have any issues to get the stamping for new company who filed my 485
any help is greatly appriciated.
thanks

Greetings,
I applied for a green card via a relative application on April 28th of 2001. I am under the 245I law. It has been 10 years since the application and it has been approved. A lawyer told me I have one more year to wait since they are still working on the visas from April of 2001. My question is: What month are they on currently and is there any way I can speed up this process? Is there a website where I can keep track of where the visas are?
Thanks in advance,
Mario

yes it is true
Is this True --??
It seems USCIS has set a quota of X number of 485 applications till SEP 07.Once that quota reaches, dates will retrogress.
After that 485s will be processed by PD and not by RD.

The extremely contrasty background doesn't help, and the blown highlights on the dog's nose are also distracting. I'm not sure how much it would help, but you might try using fill flash (that still won't solve the background issue). Shooting on a day that's not overcast might help bring the sky into range.

Even though America's Jewish community includes virtually known of the folks being targeted by the anti-immigrant law in Arizona, members of the community get nervous when they see individuals in another minority group being targeted unjustly. Laws that demand that people show their papers make Jews especially concerned since in generations past (think Nazi Germany) in other countries, similar laws were part of campaigns of persecution. The first group to weigh in, appropriately, was the state's Reform Rabbis. It's rather refreshing that this is the case because 47 years ago when Northern rabbis went down to Birmingham, Alabama to support...

I need feedback from you guys. I have researched this lawyer before I got her to start my greencard and the feedbacks seems that she is efficient and knowledgeable. However, since we signed the contract with her, things have been moving so slow. She doesn't want to talk to me or give me status updates when asked. She has all the information needed from me and my employer to start the prevailing wage request but a month has passes and nothing has been requested yet. Has anybody here experience the same thing?

My sister applied for her EAD renewal online and paid $340 for it. She filed her I 485 in Oct 2007. There are instructions on the I 765 form that there is no fee for those who filed there first EAD after July 2007. So would that fee be refunded? Has anyone experienced this kind of thing?

Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) must be rolling in his grave. The conservative Republican senator from Arizona ran for President in 1964 on a platform condemning "Big Government". As a kid, I read Goldwater's "Conscience of a Conservative" and came away with a strong conviction that America was founded on the principle of individual freedom, and that no matter what the perceived threat was, internal or external, American citizens should beware of "trusting the government" rather than upholding our rights as individuals. Today, the citizens of the State of Arizona are justifiably upset about the violence caused by Mexican drug cartels...

Hello All,
I received a "Notice of intent to Revoke " on my approved I-140 recently. By gods grace, my company was able to get my I-140 reaffirmed.
The status on the USCIS website states as follows.
".....we mailed a notice to you reaffirming the approval of this case and returned the case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."
We did NOT request for consular processing. Does any one know why USCIS send my case to Department of State?
Thank you !!

The USCIS has issued guidelines for petitioners filing cap-subject H-1B petitions for Fiscal year 2011. The guidance explains what that cap is, what petitions are subject to the cap, filing fees, where to file, etc. See here (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=4b7cdd1d5fd37210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCR D&vgnextchannel=73566811264a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60a RCRD).

Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? Probably a combination of a lousy economy and much more vigorous enforcement, particularly at the border. Here is the report for your viewing pleasure: pew hispanic study 08-2010 -
